Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Quality Assurance and Evaluation Analyst drives program quality and impact by evaluating outcomes, strengthening measurement frameworks, and ensuring data integrity across the organization. This role supports continuous improvement by conducting audits and enabling teams to use data effectively to enhance service delivery.

What you will be doing:

Evaluation and Data Analysis

  • Design and implement mixed-method evaluations (formative, process, and impact) for new and existing programs.
  • Strengthen and maintain organizational measurement frameworks, including logic models, indicators, and outcome-tracking tools.
  • Coordinate data collection, surveys, and audits across program delivery, operations, fundraising, and communications teams to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Conduct descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics to monitor program performance and inform decision-making.
  • Develop knowledge translation products (reports, infographics, dashboards) to communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design and maintain KPI dashboards to track performance, outcomes, and targets across BBBS agencies.
  • Provide data and analysis for donor reports, grant applications, and strategic planning.

Program Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Conduct regular audits of program files, volunteer and client records, and service delivery processes to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor Dynamics CRM integrity and maintain accurate records for volunteers, clients, and programs.
  • Develop and review internal policies and contribute to BBBS Canada policy processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of closed file management, volunteer tracking, withdrawal rates, and Mentoring Coordinator tracking.
  • Identify operational gaps or risks and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Support staff onboarding and training on policies, procedures, and QA practices, helping teams understand how data collection contributes to program impact.
  • Serve as a key internal resource on program operations, compliance, and evaluation; sit on BBBS Canada National committees as needed.

Collaboration and Team Engagement

  • Build strong working relationships across the organization to embed evaluation and quality assurance practices into day-to-day program delivery.
  • Partner with leadership to enhance internal systems, processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Work alongside the Programs team to embed measurement frameworks into program delivery, supporting continuous improvement and impact.

What you bring:
Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in evaluation design, epidemiology, biostatistics, social sciences, applied research, or a comparable discipline with a strong evaluation focus.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in designing mixed-method evaluations, collecting and protecting confidential client data, conducting descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics, managing databases and internal program records, and developing KPIs and performance dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of Program Logic Models and survey design.
  • Proven relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Computer literate: experience with databases such as Microsoft Dynamics is a strong asset.
  • A clear criminal records check, including vulnerable sector (Big Sisters will reimburse the cost of obtaining a CRC if candidate does not have a recent one).

This Position:

This is a full-time (35 hours/week) contract position through March 31, 2027, based in our Vancouver office on Joyce Street, directly across from the Joyce SkyTrain station. The role requires five working days per week, with a minimum of two days in-office. Some daytime travel, as well as occasional evening and weekend work, may be required. Flex or lieu time will be provided to accommodate additional hours worked.
