About Us:

 

Feast of Esther Canada is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization committed to empowering women in leadership through spiritual mentorship, community engagement, and intercessory prayer. Inspired by the biblical figure Queen Esther, we support Christian women leaders and emerging youth through annual retreats, workshops, and leadership development initiatives.

We are seeking a motivated and organized Administrative Assistant to support our summer programming and operations, particularly as we plan and deliver leadership development events for women and youth.

 

Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant will support the day-to-day administrative, communications, and coordination tasks of the organization. This role offers hands-on experience in non-profit management, event planning, and communications, making it an excellent opportunity for a youth interested in community development, faith-based service, or non-profit leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

o   Provide general administrative support (emails, file management, scheduling)

o   Assist in the planning and coordination of events, meetings, and workshops.

o   Help maintain and update the organization’s digital files and databases.

o   Draft and format letters, newsletters, reports, and promotional materials

o   Support outreach to community partners, faith organizations, and participants

o   Help maintain the organization’s website and social media platform’s

o   Assist in preparing materials and logistics for the annual Feast of Esther leadership retreat.

o   Participate in mentorship and faith-based leadership development activities offered through the organization.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

To apply, you must be:

1.      Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.

2.      A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

3.      Legally entitled to work in Canada.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

High School education or equivalent.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficient with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable with social media and digital platforms.

Interest in community development, women’s leadership, and/or faith-based work.

Able to work both independently and collaboratively;

Alignment with the values and mission of Feast of Esther Canada (Christian faith-based approach).

Supervision & Support:

A senior member of the Feast of Esther Canada team will supervise the successful candidate. They will receive weekly check-ins, feedback sessions, and the option to participate in leadership development and prayer-based mentorship programs.
