We are seeking an experienced individual to join our small and vibrant team. The Project Manager position is an exciting opportunity to lead a broad portfolio of strategic projects, with an emphasis on fundraising development. The Project Manager will work closely with our Executive Director and Board of Directors to manage and implement fundraising plans, oversee small teams in the delivery of projects, conduct project evaluation and record management, and develop tools to support additional organizational priorities.
Art City in St. James Town (Art City) is a much-loved neighbourhood-based arts organization that has served the St. James Town community for over 25 years. Our small team provides free arts education programs and believes that art has the power to empower children and youth. We use art to foster a sense of self-worth and confidence, encourage positive self-expression and exploration, and nurture community. We are passionate about using art as a tool to build resilience. The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to manage multiple projects concurrently and work with a small group to achieve a large impact. They should be passionate about the impact of community-based programming in a diverse community.
Requirements:
Passion about community based arts programming
3 years experience in Project Management, including project evaluation and record keeping
Experience within fundraising and events, including knowledge of industry best practices and policy
Responsible independent and team-player
Flexibility to work both in-person and virtually (~32/week)
Familiarity with Canva, Social Media and CRM tools an asset
Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to acquire
Responsibilities:
Execute Art City’s Fundraising Plans and manage related fundraising and strategic projects
Plan, coordinate and facilitate relevant community programming and events related to fundraising
Maintain donor relationships and records
Report project updates to Board of Directors and assign tasks to Directors and the ED as required
Create a volunteer team to support project implementation; collaborate with and delegate related tasks to volunteers
Support social media collateral and content development related to identified projects
