OFATV Managing Director

The Ontario Federation of All-Terrain Vehicle Clubs (OFATV) is seeking a strategic, hands-on leader to serve as Managing Director. Reporting to the OFATV President and accountable to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director leads day-to-day operations while advancing the organization’s mission, financial sustainability, stakeholder relationships, and long-term growth. This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who can balance strategy with execution in a small but growing provincial nonprofit environment. As ATV recreation continues to grow across Ontario, OFATV plays a central leadership role through a federated model that supports more than 25 local volunteer-run ATV clubs and over 15,000 permit holders across the province.

About the Role

  • Provide strategic, operational, financial, and human resources leadership for OFATV.

  • Oversee programs, services, systems, membership administration, communications, and organizational records.

  • Support the Board and Executive Committee through reporting, meeting preparation, governance administration, and strategic advice.

  • Lead staff and contractors, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure effective performance management and compliance.

  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, funding applications, audits, and risk management.

  • Represent OFATV with clubs, governments, industry, landowners, riders, and community partners to strengthen reputation and growth.

Essential Requirements

Candidates should bring post-secondary education in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with at least 5–7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in the nonprofit sector or a related environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong experience in strategic planning, budget and operations management, stakeholder engagement, program oversight, and team leadership. Knowledge of governance, compliance, fundraising, performance measurement, and small-team HR administration will be important to success in this role.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and organizational risk.

  • Ability to work effectively with a volunteer Board and support strong governance practices.

  • Background in staff supervision, policy implementation, and operational improvement.

  • Comfort working in a remote environment with occasional travel and evening/weekend commitments.

  • Background reference check required.

About the Position

This is a full-time remote position based in Ontario, with a standard 40-hour work week and flexibility to attend occasional meetings, events, and weekend or evening commitments as required. The salary range starts at $95,000, plus benefits, and reflects the senior leadership responsibilities of the role. The Managing Director will work closely with the President, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, staff, clubs, and external stakeholders to support OFATV’s continued development and service to the ATV community.
