35 – 40 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM


About the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada - BC Chapter (AWMAC BC)
AWMAC BC represents the architectural woodwork industry throughout British Columbia and administers industry standards, education, and the Guarantee & Inspection Service (GIS) program. This program provides independent quality assurance for architectural woodwork projects.
We are a collaborative and professional organization that values initiative, accountability, and strong communication. Our team works closely with manufacturers, architects, contractors, and inspectors across the province.


Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Program Administrator to support the administration of the GIS program.
This role combines program administration, document management, and stakeholder communication. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working with technical information, managing multiple concurrent construction-related projects, and keeping processes organized and on track.
This role reports to the Executive Director of AWMAC BC.


Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and track GIS projects from initiation to completion
• Review submissions for completeness and compliance with program requirements
• Coordinate information between inspectors, members, architects, and contractors
• Monitor project timelines, deficiencies, and follow-up actions
• Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and project tracking systems
• Respond to member and client inquiries professionally and promptly
• Support administrative requirements and special projects

Qualifications & Skills
• Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Comfortable using databases and digital systems


Industry Knowledge (Preferred/Important)
• Familiarity with construction, manufacturing, or architectural woodwork
• Understanding of shop drawings, specifications, or technical documentation
• Ability to interpret project information and coordinate accordingly
Note: Foundational industry knowledge is important for success in this role, though training will be provided.

Compensation
• Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 depending on experience
• Annual retention bonus of $6,000 payable upon successful completion of the first year of employment.
