Job Summary 

The Summer Support Staff will play an essential role in the day-to-day operations of Camp Hope during the summer season. This is a hands-on, varied role supporting kitchen preparation, facility upkeep, and program activities to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for campers and staff alike.

• Team Player — Able to work alongside camp staff, program workers, and volunteers across different areas

• Reliable — Shows up on time, follows through, and takes ownership of assigned tasks 

Major Duties & Responsibilities 

• Assist with kitchen preparation including meal and snack setup 

• Support cleaning and janitorial duties across camp facilities 

• Help set up and clean up program and activity spaces 

• Assist program staff with activities, games, and events as needed 

• Maintain a safe and organized environment throughout the camp 

• Respond to staff direction and adjust tasks based on daily priorities 

• Other related tasks and duties as required 

Minimum Qualifications & Skills 

• Must be 18 years of age or older 

• Ability to work in a physically active environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs 

• Willingness to take on a variety of tasks including cleaning and food preparation 

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic 

• Experience working with children and youth is an asset 

• Food Safety Certificate is an asset 

• Standard First Aid certification is an asset
