Upper Island Soccer Association (UISA) is a youth sport body serving thousands of individuals each year with a mission to develop and advance soccer excellence. Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, we are committed to fostering participation, development, and excellence in sport while maintaining strong governance and financial stewardship.

About the Role

UISA is seeking an organized and service-oriented Administrator to support the day-to-day administration of our leagues, competitions, events, and member services.

Reporting to the Board, the Administrator helps ensure the smooth operation of league activities, competitions, registrations, and organizational initiatives.

This is a flexible, work-from-home position averaging 15–20 hours per week during the soccer season (September–May), with reduced hours during the summer months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage general administrative functions, including email correspondence, phone inquiries, document management, and office administration.
  • Provide administrative support such as game schedule creation and maintenance, score recording, and match result posting.
  • Manage and maintain the district player and team database system (SpAppz).
  • Support processes and committee administration.
  • Assist with tournaments, festivals, Cup Finals, and other association events.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, records management, and organizational operations.
  • Support basic financial administration, including invoices and reimbursement.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience in a related role such as administration or data entry preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Criminal Record Check.

Working Conditions

  • Flexible work-from-home schedule.
  • Availability during regular business hours.
  • Virtual attendance at occasional evening meetings (1–2 per month).
  • Able to attend a handful of 8 weekend events annually, with dates typically known well in advance.
