This is a 6-12 month mandate in La Paz, Bolivia.

The mandate stems from the Equality in Action Voluntary Cooperation Program (PCV), which is being rolled out in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020-2028). The PCV aims to increase the involvement of local partner organizations in countries of intervention in inclusive, innovative and sustainable initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights. Oxfam puts the rights of women, girls and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything we do.

Here's what your daily life will look like:

In close collaboration with Oxfam's in Bolivia team members and its partners organizations, your mandate will be to:

  • Design and implement Oxfam in Bolivia’s strategic communications support plan, including planning, monitoring and coordination tools for the implementation of communication campaigns and institutional public events ;
  • Coordinate with local consultants on the production of communication and audiovisual materials ;
  • Systematize the results, lessons learned, good practices and recommendations arising from the communication campaigns and public events supported ;
  • Design and implement a capacity-strengthening programme on strategic communications management for partner organizations ;
  • Prepare monitoring and systematization reports on the activities carried out, integrating progress, results achieved, lessons learned and recommendations ;

For this mandate you must :

  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have university degree in communication, journalism or other relevant field;
  • Be fluent in Spanish, spoken and written (required);
  • Have at least 2 years of experience related to the mandate;
  • Master the Office.
