Medical Radiation Technologist
Government of Northwest Territories
Yellowknife area
Yellowknife
closes in 54 days (Tue, 1 Dec)
full time  •  96,876 - 115,733

Take your Medical Radiation Technologist career to Yellowknife, where every scan changes a life and every day begins beneath vast northern skies.

Step into the heart of diagnostic care at one of Canada’s newest hospital facilities – Stanton Territorial Hospital - where Medical Radiation Technologists play a vital role in helping patients across the Northwest Territories receive timely diagnoses and treatment.

In this dynamic role, you'll perform general X-ray, CT, fluoroscopy, operating room imaging, and advanced patient care activities while working closely with radiologists, physicians, and specialists. One moment you may be supporting a trauma patient in the emergency department, the next coordinating CT imaging, assisting with image-guided procedures, or helping a family find answers during a difficult day. Your expertise, judgment, and technical skill will directly influence patient outcomes across a vast northern region.

This is a role built for technologists who want more than repetition. You'll gain broad clinical exposure, develop advanced CT competencies, and practice with a level of scope that is increasingly rare in larger urban centres. As part of a close-knit, supportive team, you'll work with modern imaging technology while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and culturally safe care. Alongside competitive compensation, you'll benefit from northern living incentives, generous leave provisions, professional development opportunities, and relocation support available through the Government of the Northwest Territories. Best of all, your commute is measured in minutes, not hours, leaving more time for life beyond work.
