Position: Medical Office Assistant

Department: Medical Clinic

Schedule: Full time, and part time positions available, from 21 hours per week up to 35 hours.  Please specify your preference in your cover letter.

Contract:  Temporary, until March 31, 2022.

We are looking for a hardworking, compassionate MOA to join our team that provides high quality, primary health care supporting the physical, mental and social well-being of our community. Reporting to the operations manager, you will contribute to the operations of our clinic through administrative and clinical support to our care providers in a team based environment.

The medical clinic is open from 9am-8pm, and Saturdays. The successful candidate will be required, in cooperation with other MOA’s, to work evening shifts and the occasional Saturday.


Highlights of Qualifications and Skills

  • Certification as a Medical Office Assistant from an accredited educational institution, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years practical experience in a similar position.
  • Experience of using electronic medical records, OSCAR preferred.
  • Experience working with clients with complex social and health conditions.
  • Willingness to undertake training including Basic Life Support and naloxone administration, and maintain certification where applicable.
