Go Girls! Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds:

The Go Girls! Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds group mentoring program promotes friendship, active-living and a healthy lifestyle for self-identifying girls and gender-diverse youth; all while contributing towards positive self-esteem and confidence amongst students from grades 4-7.

This eight-session group mentoring program is facilitated by 2-3 volunteer mentors who are screened and trained by Big Sisters staff. The program incorporates fun, educational games and group activities to stimulate self-reflection and positive health discussions amongst students in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

Research-based curriculum is provided by Big Sisters with mentors encouraged to be flexible with programming in order to meet the emerging needs of the group of 8-10 participants.
