Profile

The Personnel Committee Chair requires a strong understanding of human resources principles, sound judgment, and a commitment to ethical and legal compliance. This position is similar to a HR professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and/or revising personnel policies for board approval, 

  • Reviewing job descriptions, 

  • Establishing a salary structure, and 

  • Annually reviewing staff salaries 

  • Act as a grievance board committee for employee complaints.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of human resources principles, including employment law, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing human resources policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound and objective decisions.
  • Commitment to ethical and legal compliance in all human resources matters.
  • Experience working on a non-profit board or in a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Passion for the mission of CCS and a commitment towards a civil society
