The Director of Board Development plays a crucial role in the long-term success of Canadians For A Civil Society by leading efforts to build a strong, engaged, and diverse Board of Directors. This position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities
To prepare priorities for board composition,
To meet with prospective board members and cultivate membership,
To conduct orientation sessions for new board members and to organize training sessions for the entire board, and
To suggest new, non-board individuals for committee membership.
