CALL FOR BOARD MEMBERS

About Megaphone
Megaphone is an award-winning social enterprise based in Vancouver that creates low-barrier economic opportunities and amplifies the voices of people experiencing poverty or homelessness. Through our Editorial Program, Vendor Program, community writing workshops and special projects, we engage more than 250 individuals each year.

Established in 2007, Megaphone produces the Megaphone magazine, the Hope in Shadows calendar and the Voices of the Street anthology. At the heart of the organization is our Vendor Program, which addresses the lack of accessible income opportunities for people facing barriers to traditional employment. Each year, we train and support over 150 vendors who sell our publications to earn an income and connect with the broader community. We're a small but mighty organization committed to individual empowerment and social change.

Our Mission: To change the story on poverty by promoting social equity, amplifying marginalized voices and creating meaningful work.
