Location: Ontario, Canada (Remote with occasional local outreach)
Employment Type: Part-time (20–25 hours/week)
Salary: Unpaid until funding is secured. Anticipated salary: $4,000/month once funding is available.
Love is Not Enough is a grassroots nonprofit based in Ontario, Canada, dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, and crisis. We believe in meeting people where they are, offering compassion-driven outreach, essentials kits, and emotional support through community-led efforts. Our slogan is “The Light Within the Light” — a reminder that hope lives in every act of kindness.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Director of Community Care & Outreach to lead and expand our support services. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the direction of a growing nonprofit, create meaningful impact, and develop grassroots programs from the ground up.
This position will begin as volunteer-based, with compensation to start as soon as operational funding is secured.
Lead the planning and coordination of outreach activities across Ontario, including donation kit distribution and shelter partnerships
Build relationships with shelters, food banks, community groups, and local businesses
Oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and scheduling
Collaborate with the founder to identify community needs and shape care programs
Track services provided and maintain basic records for reporting and growth
Represent the organization at public events and in stakeholder meetings
Help shape policies that promote safety, respect, and equity in our services
Lived or professional experience in social services, homelessness support, community outreach, or related fields
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passion for equity, inclusion, and dignity-centered care
Ability to work independently and with a small team
Comfortable using email, Google Docs, and social media for coordination
Valid driver’s license and access to transportation (preferred but not required)
