The purpose of the Tele-Touch program is to provide a regularly scheduled telephone call by volunteers to support those that live alone. A Tele-Touch volunteer offers support and companionship to an isolated individual through regular telephone calls

What you’ll be doing

General Responsibilities

Fulfill time commitment as agreed

b)    Arrange schedule with VON staff member and client

c)     Contact VON office, as soon as possible, if unable to make a scheduled telephone call

d)    Work within parameters of your position description

e)    Provide services as requested and mutually agreed with VON staff member

f)      Work towards fulfillment of program goals

g)    Communicate concerns, comments or suggestions to the coordinator, when appropriate,  regarding client’s condition/situation

h)    Submit reports and keep accurate records

i)      Participate in on-going review of service delivery processes and evaluation
