Position Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Philanthropic Development will lead the growth of private revenue streams through major gifts, special gifts, foundation and corporate giving. They will provide both strategic and operational leadership of the philanthropic department and play a key role in planning MultiCaf’s first major capital campaign.

 

Key Responsibilities

•       Manage a portfolio of major donors (100+ prospects)

•       Develop solicitation strategies for gifts ranging from $25,000 to $100,000+

•       Create annual plans, performance reports, and strategic follow-ups

•       Support the planning of major fundraising events and recognition initiatives

•       Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and partners

•       Write philanthropic content: case statements, proposals, reports

•       Help build and foster an internal culture of philanthropy

 

Ideal Profile

•       Proven success in soliciting major gifts (5–6 figures; 7-figure experience as part of a team is an asset)

•       Strong leadership, autonomy, and excellent interpersonal skills

•       Ability to engage volunteers and manage multiple files simultaneously

•       Fluent in written and spoken French and English

•       Knowledge of the nonprofit sector or Côte-des-Neiges community is an asset

 

Education and Experience

•       Relevant university degree

•       7 to 10 years of experience in fundraising or a related field
